So I decided to go offline for a month. From tomorrow on, no blogging, no facebooking, no twittering, no 500-blogs-following, no commenting, no status updates, no site statistics, no nothing.

Only e-mail will come through – and for urgent matters, my mobile number is up for grabs by a simple google search.

Announcing this and talking about it with friends, I’ve been amazed by their amazement. Some even reacted with pure compassion, rest assured though, your favourite blogger is doing fine. 

I just feel the time has come to cut down on my online presence for a minute. I need to get a hold of my time again.

Time I need to invest in: artwork, video editing, writing, recording mixes, swimming, taking cooking lessons and catching up with friends.

So it’s not even a holiday. Much on the contrary, I plan to get some work done.

On-point has taking up a big part of my life, and that’s cool and has always been well worth it to me, but talking to a friend recently, I came to the conclusion I was mostly managing the blog. The heart still in it, but the passion is lost along the way. 

Reading Cory Doctorow’s “Writing in the age of distraction” article, I noted you have to be on top of your workload and your muse. I’m on top of neither, so I’m taking some time out. Focussing on getting things done.

I should be back early March, meanwhile, there’s a whole lot of interesting stuff in the previous posts, browse through that and you’ll still feel on-point, right?
