
Back with another installment in the on-point tv series: Dâm Funk for ya!
OndaSonora‘s BLA had the opportunity to interview the man called Dâm Funk and was kind enough to let me capture the moment, and even add a little extra question (the last one).
Honestly, I haven’t been captivated by a voice like Dâm’s in a long time. Lean back as he’ll explain to you exactly what it is that he represents:
Known as Los Angeles’ “Ambassador of Boogie Funk,” dãm-funk represents the citizens of the Funkmosphere.
Headquartered in the Culver City section of L.A., dãm (pronounced: ‘Dame’ as in Damon) spent the last few years cultivating a musical renaissance rooted in the early-’80s styles known as Boogie, Modern Soul and Electro-Funk.

Q-Tip & Stones Throw party at Paradiso Amsterdam was off the hook!
Dam Funk played some incredible music, and even did a drum solo and some limbo dancing! Thanks for bringing the funk back to Europe, bounce to the ounce!

WOW! This dude is awesome!…and aw sooooo Cool. I love his honesty, and his true meaning of real Funk. I hope I can here more of Dam’Funk for a long time. His music makes you want to groove and remember the way real music use to be. Keep it up Dam’ and keep us jammin. Much Love and hope ro see more of you.
