On our continued quest for a MicroKorg synth for JtotheC to be able to play the keys this Thursday at the Royale, we ended up on Times Square. Quite surprised we were to find none other than ‘The Israelites’ preaching on the corner of the street.
Without any doubt one of the most gifted speakers we’ve seen perform in quite a while, this man was claiming the end of time is near. This could be proven by the Holy Book, which states that at the time of the Apocalypse the White Man will be ruling, and as this White Man is ruling now, we must be at the end of times. An interesting theory, to say the least.
We tried to start a little conversation with one of the members who was trying to get people join their cause. We didn’t get all of what they were stating though, such as ‘the Jew is not really the Jew’.
This might be the perfect time to watch Louis Theroux’s visit to NYC’s Black Supremacists:
