Ushuaia, aka the Southernmost city in the world, at the tip of Argentina. Quite a strange place that was to visit. Overall quite a desolate vibe throughout the town actually. And dogs, lots of dogs, running in the streets. Dogtown, if you will..
Since our J&B-sponsored visit to the place was a very short one – take in account we took six planes in six days and it’s clear all of this went quite fast – we only had one big walk in town, refusing to take a much-needed powernap actually.
The following is a collection of snapshots of this walk, again, a strange place, yet utterly fascinating to say the least:

I really loved that town. Did not find it weird or anything
I loved walking back from the glacier to the town center. I found a place with a Maria statue that overlooked the city, the magellan street and the mountains of chile on the back. That was freaking awesome, because the sun was setting, the colors were great, you could hear dogs barking all over the place etc. etc.
It’s so far of everything that I really had a good feeling there. It’s top 1 in my list of places to return to.
About the desolation: I think it’s not. I think it looks desolate to us, Europeans, but is not to south-american standards. I went to other cities as well and Ushuaia did not really shock me, compared to others (like Antofagasta in Chile that looked like a crappy place)
If you could have taken the time, I’m sure you would have loved it as much as I did!

Hey Alex,
I loved the pictures you totally captured the spirit of the town.
