Bad news:
Belgium’s finest soul liveband Moiano is quitting after 10 years.

Good news:
They recently did – and are still doing -
some last live performances with a lot of guests!

Long time since i posted something here, but let me just say that we’re playing live at the AB in Brussels this weekend!

Say What??? Yes. You’ve read it right. We’re opening up for our big lil’ sis (or should we say lil’ big sis??) and wonderful miss Selah Sue! We’re playing on Saturday, starting at 8pm, so come early! Our brothas from otha mothas Delvis and Title are playing on Friday and… i’m sorry to say you can’t get any tickets anymore, because these are both sold out concerts. Huh? Thass right, baby. But don’t worry, we’ll make it up to you in someway, somehow, anytime soon.

Hahaa!! Spring is almost here, people… so hold on! Put a smile on ya face, and spread this lovely message. What message? Well, LOVE ofcourse!! Hahahahaaa!! I love y’all! Stay on-point !

Hey Everybody!
I forgot to mention something!
Did you know about this? -> When you want to get it together,
and you start to stutter, just say “Getta 2 Getta” and things will turn out alright for you.
I tried it, and it worked! I told that to my Brussels based brotha Jazz Neversleeps,
and sent him an acapella to demonstrate.

Needless to say, i was amazed when i heard that he made a track with it.
Now Jazz also had another track called “Natte Vinger” (hahaha, gotta love the man’s titles)
and when Alex Deforce (on-point records) heard all of this, he decided to press it on a 7inch.
So there you have it… the teamup: Jazz Neversleeps featuring JtotheC.

Now… the records got pressed, and as if that wasn’t enough,
the man Deforce drove us to the Cum* Collective to do some silkscreening.
Hahaha… madness. Even my father was so excited about it, he wanted to do
the intro of the promotional video. Hahaaa!! Check him out:

Hello everybody!
On-Point Records has decided to let us go on a little club-tour, playing live alongside our colleagues UpHigh Collective and Title.
And I’m very, very, véry excited about this!
I heard there are going to be some new exclusive t-shirts, so you’ll have to see for yourself if what I heard is true!

Tomorrow we’ll do a little tryout @ café st-georges in Roeselare, and next week we’ll do the opening act for Aloe Blacc @ de Vooruit in Ghent. Yes, yes, that’s that man from “I need a dollar“, so if you like that, come and check out his other songs too!!

Just wanted to let you know it’s out there!! The infamous Beck Hansen cover “Lord Only Knows” by JtotheC & the Bad Mothas! We teamed up with Nouk for this one, and her voice is an excellent addition to this track. We kinda flipped it into a happy soul-song, and you can download it on the BIRKLUB website for free! Viva Vlas Vegas!
You probably heard the rumour, and it’s true!
We’re doing another gig @ de kreun on may 22,
playing at the Vlas Vegas festival in Kortrijk.
We start at 8pm (20h), so please be early!! Entrance = free !

A friendly guy from Apollo magazine asks me here if I’m down for covering a track of the Odelay album from Beck. You may know this album from songs such as “The new pollution” or “Where it’s at” or “Devil’s haircut”.
Sure enough, I figured: Let’s do this! I decide what track I want to cover, but… it has to be on that album. Please, read on! There’s more!

Whatup Peoples!!

The Bad Mothas and me are welcoming a new member of the band! Most likely some of you already knew this, but let me just put it out there and let me welcome mister Peter Lesage!! Now you all have got to know that Peter is wonderful. An extra pair of hands, keys and vocals is always nice. Mister P to the L on the keys just makes it extra soulful, so check that out!

You might also want to check this soulbrotha out with his band called moiano,  and he has also played (and plays) with a lot of artists and other bands, too numerous to mention. The man’s a pro, a great musician and a great man! Great!! Watch out, Pete’s comin’ !!

Brand new and just in time to celebrate my birthday, my very own website, a 7inch single to be released ft. a killer LuiGi remix and a Future Funk Blowout with the finest of future funk, Friday at De Kreun and CheebaCheeba in Brussels on Saturday, to top it all. Times sure are exciting, and it seems like things are only getting better.
